Garden Markers for Sale!

My etsy store is finally open! Go to the “my shop” link to see my garden markers!
I started making these last spring, when I joined the Wellfleet Community Garden. I shared a plot with friends but since I didn’t know anything about growing my own food, I focused on amending the soil and planning the layout. When we got around to planting the seeds and tiny sprouts, I couldn’t keep track of what was where so I made garden markers out of left-over cedar house shingles. With the help of a fellow gardener with carpentry skills, I also made a bunch to sell at the WCG fundraiser. The garden markers went like hotcakes and a cottage industry was born.
Here are a few photos taken by my friend, Susan Wilson. She’s a Boston based photographer and neighbor in Wellfleet (www.susanwilsonphoto.com).
