Maura is a freelance illustrator and story artist living in Venice, California. Maura grew up in a little beach town in Massachusetts and earned her BFA at Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, studying fine art, illustration and animation. She lived and freelanced in New York City for over ten years before moving to Los Angeles six years ago. Maura is currently teaching illustration at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles.
Maura has drawn storyboards for many talented creatives and worked on numerous award-winning campaigns. Recognized by American Illustration, her art work has been published in a variety of magazines such as Nickelodeon and Rolling Stone, and her chatracters have appeared in books, advertisements and even on a couple of buses.
